Thank you so much for your interest in my photography classes! My classes are geared towards busy women, most of us are moms, so there isn't a lot of pressure or a ton of homework or reading. The ladies who have taken my previous classes enjoyed it and were challenged by it.
The instruction is done vial emailed tutorials. Each week there will be three assignments, two technical and one creative. Assignments are posted in my Flickr Group where I will comment on each image you post - mostly constructive criticism and a lot of encouragement.

This is my newest class and I could not be more excited about it! It is written with my friends who are starting their crafting and handmade businesses, but this class would apply equally well to anyone trying to grow their craft blog or even a food blog. I've been busy researching tips and tricks for product photography that sells. I've been collecting interviews from some of my favorite etsy shop owners and entrepreneurial masterminds - I'll combine their selling genius with my simple step-by-step method that has proven to improve the photography of my students. The class will be written for anyone with any type of camera with special tips for Digital SLR camera users.

Simply {SLR} Photography eClass
Registration Fee: $60
For anyone with a digital SLR camera. The worst part about owning a D-SLR is figuring out how to use it. I know lots of moms who have never shot out of "Auto" mode - which is such a shame because once you learn how to shoot in manual mode you will never ever want to go back to Auto ever again! Give me four weeks and I will help you move that dial off of "auto" and into beautiful photos of your loved ones and of the beautiful things in your life. I'll give you tips that will have you using your camera with confidence and I'll let share my favorite tricks for getting that frame-worthy snapshot. The class lasts for four weeks, covering the topics of: aperture, shutter speed, ISO & white balance and I will also be sharing some of my creative method.
This class is limited to 30 participants per class.
Registration Fee for 2012 classes is $80
Simply Basics Photography eClass

The Basics eClass is for photographers with any type of camera with the goal of helping you learn the basic princliples of photography. This class lasts for four weeks and covers the topics of: light, focus, crop, & perspective. This is also a good follow-up to my Simply SLR e-class.
This class is limited to 30 participants per class.

30 days of blog posts (on a private blog) to build your photography skills. 30 days of prompts to stretch you both creatively and technically. The 30 Days of Simply {SLR} Photography eClass is for digital SLR camera owners and my goal is to have you shooting comfortably and confidently in full-manual mode in just four weeks. I'll be covering the topics of: aperture, shutter speed, ISO & white balance. Unlike my other classes I will not be leaving feedback on every photo posted but I will be available to answer questions and give help.

What people are saying my photography class:Thank you so much Faith! your feedback and encouragement are awesome! I am loving your course so much already. I already know that I will be taking the next one as well :) Thanks again! Kristin
I feel like I have learned so much!! I love the fact I am improving my photography!! Jenna
I learned more in this class than I had expected to, and am now a lot more comfortable shooting manually. Carol Ann
I hesitated over whether or not to take your class -- I was drawn to it because it was inexpensive, but then I wondered what would I really get for [so little] . And then this was your first time doing such a class so I had nothing to go on as to what it would be like. I had also just bought some photography books and figured I could learn the same things from them so maybe I shouldn't spend anymore money right now. In the end my decision was made based on the fact that it was being done in a group and I need interaction with other people -- I do learn a lot from reading, but there is just something about interacting with others as they are learning the same things that has a real benefit. On the very first day I was glad for my decision -- the lesson sounded simple enough, but was actually a challenge for me to accomplish and I learned a lot from it. I really did not understand the whole idea of light which is really so very basic to photography. Thank you for putting me on the right path to learning more about light. Then the assignment to gather pictures that inspire me -- I really had my doubts that I could do that -- I wasn't sure what I was inspired by, but as I worked on it I was amazed at what I learned about myself. I am very happy that I signed up and would highly recommend it. Thank you for taking the risk of teaching this class -- you are doing a great job and I am sure with experience you will get even better. Betty Anne
It's amazing what you learn from other students and from wonderful teachers. They have insight and constructive criticism.. something an artist always needs. I have done a fair share of learning (and hopefully teaching) during the last two weeks, helping me focus on the nitpicky things that really make or break a photo.. regardless of what your inner style may be. So, thank you Faith for hosting this class! I definitely plan on taking the next. Claire
It is seriously one of the coolest things I've ever participated in. If you are at ALL interested in photography, please sign up! The rates are so affordable and she is so accessible and in tune with her students. Her assignments are fun and challenging, I'm only in my first week and I've learned SO much already. Chana
