The hubs asked me to have some canvas prints made of the family. I ordered four from
Easy Canvas Prints (which I'm going to blog about one of these days!! I had a very good experience ordering from them) but I've got
five kids and need to order one more. This has been a real learning experience - ordering canvases - and it's slightly altered how I shoot, mostly in regards to leaving more space around the edge of my shot for cropping a print or wrapping a canvas. So the other day I attempted to photograph Josiah for his canvas print. It was an epic fail. He was uncooperative and would not could not be still long enough to get the type of shot that I'd want to hang on my wall. He's
really expressive and very active so trying to get just the right shot is tricky. (Exhibit 100 for why being a professional photographer is a lot harder than you'd think! And why I'm not one at the moment)

I do that too, the bad habit of cropping in camera or rather, framing the shot just right in camera and then realising you should have left more space around the edges for a frame if you wanted to print it!
I need a new mantra, "take a step back"
Your photos made me smile! I have the same problem with my kids. And I, too, have learned the hard way about having a photo made into a canvas. A few that I absolutely love of my kids never will be a canvas because I took them too zoomed in on their faces. :(
Shooting your own kids is near impossible. Sigh. Anyway wanted to give you a huge THANK YOU for listing the links for the canvas backgrounds. I have been looking high and low for nice seemless canvas tiles for my blog backgound. YAY...finally found ones I love. Love your tutorials too! Have a great weekend!
Haha I'm already finding that it's harder to try taking photos of your own children! And mine can't even get away yet ;)
My kiddo kendrick is the same way. will not look at the camera :D
adorable pictures faith :)
Beautiful shots!!! Can't wait to hear your recommendations on shooting for canvas!
what adorable shots!
your little ones are sooo cute!!
wishing you a great week ahead.
Your kids are so cute! And they definitely resemble each other.
Aww. I love these. They are so cute. Thanks for linking to my blog. :D I have a problem of getting too close too.
cute photos even if they aren't wall-quality!
shooting kids is HARD. omg, i did a photoshoot for a family with a toddler and a baby. uhm... yeah. impossible. especially since the baby was sleepy and only had hid eyes open for about one shot! people think photography is easy--it's not!
