1/365

I should have written up a New Years resolutions post before Christmas when I had the time and was thinking of it... maybe after the kids go back to school :)

One of my resolutions this year is to try to do a photo of the day. I've tried a couple of times before and never gotten past day twenty or thirty. I may not post my photo of the day every single day, but here is my first photo of the day for the new year!

001/365

It's creamy chicken soup that I made from scratch this afternoon. It wasn't the best soup ever but it was tasty and I'm hoping that tomorrow's soup will be better for the hubs birthday dinner! The photo is edited with Paint the Moon's "Sugar Cookies" action - you can see alternates on my Flickr page.

Are you doing a 365 project or participating in a group 365 project? If you are let me know! I'd love to have some buddies in this adventure. :)

I started a Project 365 back in 2008 (May-ish) and am now half way through my second year of photos. Ideally, I should have stared on the first of the year, but I was excited to start it and thus, I shoot photos from May-May year-round. I initially published them on Flickr, but I ran out of space and at the time didn't want to pay for an upgrade. I then posted them daily on facebook, however, I deleted my Facebook account about a month ago (resolution thing). Now, I post them weekly on my blog under a special Project 365 tab. I don't have time to do it every day, though I do take the photo at least. Right now I'm a week behind with the holiday and will post two weeks' worth tomorrow. It's not an exact science, but I found I lost myself actually posting the photos each day and found a weekly "Sunday night" posting works (such as my love for www.postsecret.com !). Check mine out at: http://thorntonfamilymoments.blogspot.com under the Project 365 tab. Good luck!

Should be a fun adventure! I'm sure it will be a challenge to stick with at times, but it is nice to know other people are doing it too. Its a good motivation.

Did you use a macro? I did p365 the last 2 years. Every single day in 2009. Sigh. Weekly in 2010. And am breaking in 2011. But look forward to following. And will still be sharing my photos! Good luck!!

You go girl. I am about 4 months into mine and amazing myself that I am keeping up. some photo's are blah some are special but it is turning into a real documentation of our year. A big hint that works for a busy day is choose something the same so you can photograph it and notice the changes over the year - mine is the view from my back step.

I am doing a 365 project, but I will be posting a few pictures every few days instead of once a day.

Your soup looks amazing.

I am going to try to do the 365 this year. I can't start posting my photos until I get my editing computer back, currently can't even download photos. I have already started taking them though. I am looking forward to it.

I started mine in September. I'm not going to lie to you sometimes I struggle to find something interesting to photograph but I've learnt so much which I don't think I would have if I wasn't practicing daily. Good luck

If you click on my blog (simply because I forget the link to this linky) you'll see a button on my sidebar for a link to a 365 day challenge. It'll be motivating to have others joining along I think...and we'll be posting once a week. :) good luck and enjoy!
